Calling all Policy, Advocacy and Government Relations Staff
Doing Policy and advocacy work for a local chamber or Board of Trade can be a pretty lonely job. Here’s a chance for all Chamber Policy and Government Relations staff to connect!
Chamber CEOs, please share this invitation with your staff.
Join our first Peer network webinar and join your colleagues across the country, as we discuss policy development and best practices in advocacy. We will receive presentations from Jonathon Seib, Alberta Chamber of Commerce and Nick Stewart, Timmins Chamber.
Moderated by Nancy Healey, CEO St. John’s Board of Trade.
Q&A following presentations, however, if there is a topic/question that you would like to see addressed, please indicate when you register (below comments).
No charge to participate, but registration is required (maximum 12 on call)
Nancy Healey has been the CEO of the St. John’s Board of Trade since 2006. Prior to that she worked as the Government Affairs manager for the Board of Trade (Accredited with Distinction). She has also worked briefly on Parliament Hill and the Newfoundland provincial legislature. She bears many the scars of battles with City Hall, the province and federal government.
Jonathan Seib is the Manager of Policy and Communication for the Alberta Chambers of Commerce. He has previously worked for the Red Deer Chamber of Commerce and the Medicine Hat and District Chamber of Commerce. Jonathan holds a Master’s in International Public Policy from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a true “policy wonk” who loves discussing politics and economics.
Nick Stewart has been with the Timmins Chamber of Commerce since 2011 and serves as the Manager of Policy, Research and Communications, responsible for public and media relations, policy and advocacy. Nick was CCEC’s Staff Person of the Year in 2014.
